General COVID Guidelines (updated 9/27/23)
BAC Covid Recommendations (updated Fall 2023) for players returning to play after COVID positive tests/symptoms:
- Day 1 of COVID positive test: Player is required to isolate for five days.
- Day 6 +: Player can return if fever-free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication and symptoms have improved or resolved. Player will need to wear a well-fitting mask for 5 additional days (day 6 through day 10) after the end of the 5-day isolation period, in accordance with Virginia Department of Health guidance OR for players who are unable/unwilling to mask for days 6-10 days, the CDC recommends two negative rapid antigen tests (includes home test) on or after day 6 performed 48 hours apart. The first test can be administered on or after day 6.
Parents/Players are required to notify BAC of COVID positive test. BAC will notify teams in the event of a COVID exposure. Players exposed do not need to sit out of play as long as symptoms do not develop.
